DIY Plans for a nice simple to make wooden flower or herb box made from 1×6 (25x 150mm) and 2×6 (50x 150mm) boards.
The box is 25-1/2″ (650mm) long.
I have supplied two variations of the plan.
One option requires a bevel (angle) to be cut along the sides of the bottom piece, and the other does not.
The downloadable PDF file contains 12 pages and includes plans, pictures, drawings, shopping and cutting list, step-by-step building instructions.
Measurements throughout this project are given in both imperial (inch) and metric (mm) units. The measurements are written in inches first, followed by millimeters in brackets (). For example, 1-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ (38 x 140mm).
Materials you will need
Lumber:
1×6 (25 x 150mm) board: 1 piece @ 5ft (1.5m) long.
2×6 (50 x 150mm) board: 1 piece @ 4ft (1.2m) long.
Fixings:
Galvanised nails or exterior type wood screws: 26 @ 2-1/2″ (60mm) long.
