Seller Content Guidelines
Last updated: August 2026
These Content Guidelines apply uniformly to all creative authors and digital products submitted to KennysDIY.com. They are designed to keep the catalog clean, professional, and valuable for builders worldwide.
By applying to join or submitting a document, you agree to comply with these rules, our Terms of Service, and our Seller Terms & Onboarding Agreement.
1. Allowed Content Parameters
Only digital documents satisfying the following criteria can be published:
- DIY-related digital downloads only: The focus must be on active creation.
- PDF format only: Document structures must be uniform across the marketplace.
- Original woodworking blueprints, craft templates, home remodeling directions, gardening manuals, or mechanical schematics.
- Content built with clear, straightforward English instructions designed for independent use.
2. Quality Control Standards
KennysDIY is an explicitly curated catalog directory. Items will be systematically declined if they fail to meet our criteria:
- Must contain highly specific, clean, and accurate material counts and measurements lists.
- Must include sufficient building steps from initialization to final assembly if applicable.
- Must be organized with professional textual layouts and clear visual aids.
- Submissions that are overly simplistic, missing crucial instructions, or lacking layout clarity will be returned to the author for refinement.
3. Structural File Prerequisites
- Files must use standard, unencrypted, unprotected PDF extensions.
- Files must contain no third-party password access barriers or DRM wrapping layers.
- Documents must load cleanly across all standard modern screen readers and mobile applications.
4. Verification of Intellectual Property
Creators must hold 100% legal ownership or verified redistribution rights for all materials uploaded. You must not:
- Upload compiled assets, scraped tables, or text sections pulled from old trade manuals.
- Distribute plans compiled or purchased from alternative internet design bundles.
- Infringe upon existing third-party commercial copyright or branding design assets.
5. AI-Assisted Document Guidelines
Generative or AI-assisted content tools are permitted only under strict operational transparency rules:
- The author must hold explicit full commercial rights to all tools used.
- The author must personally review, rewrite, check all calculations, and materially add human value to the output text.
- Low-effort, unedited text dumps or auto-generated blueprint files will be immediately rejected.
6. Prohibited Content Formats
The following items are completely banned from our catalog directory:
- Physical objects, components, lumber, toolkits, or hand services.
- Alternative extensions like ZIP, DWG, or EPUB (unless explicitly bundled inside an approved PDF strategy).
- Dangerously volatile, unsafe, or explosive step directions.
- Adult material, weapon frameworks, or hateful text structures.
7. Safety and Liability Controls
DIY projects inherently involve dangerous machinery, sharp blades, and high-voltage power components. Authors are completely accountable for confirming the absolute precision of all measurement figures, material counts, and safe process tips. You must never showcase risky shortcuts as standard operations.
8. Operational Actions and Enforcement
Our administration reserves the absolute authority to check every single upload submission and take necessary protective steps, including:
- Approving or declining catalog entry applications without outside recourse.
- Unpublishing existing storefront items if hidden errors are reported by consumers.
- Suspending or permanently terminating vendor dashboard authorization profiles if clear plagiarism is verified.
Strictly DIY. Strictly PDF.
Keeping digital publishing clean, accurate, and fair for everyone.
